Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma hired me to shoot a library of images for their upcoming annual report which was wonderfully designed by Baker Street Advertising in San Francisco. I love working with non-profits and capturing the work they do, but love it even more when there is a thoughtful showcase to share the work in.
What was so amazing about this place was not only is it an academic environment but also a community. The boys live as a family in cottages with support staff, work with animals and in gardens, and have hands-on classes like wood shop and art. They are also surrounded by caring and skilled teachers, staff, and coaches that are some of the most patient individuals I have ever met.
Check out hannacenter.org to learn more about how they help these boys. Scroll down to see more images and a few pages from the annual report.
